Bem-vindo ao Cabo. Welcome to Cape Town.

AK&DK Services is a Cape Town concierge and travel company. We meet you at arrivals, put you somewhere good, and stay on the phone for the rest of your stay — whether you came for the mountain, for a hospital appointment, or for a school term.

What we do

People arrive here for one of three reasons.

Different reasons, same job on our side: someone on the ground who knows the city, speaks your language, and picks up when you call.

Turismo de lazer

Leisure travel

The reason most people come. We build the days around what you actually want — the mountain and the coast, the Winelands, the food, or nothing at all for a week.

  • Day-by-day itinerary, built with you
  • Private driver and airport transfers
  • Apartments, guesthouses and family-sized stays
  • Cable car, Robben Island and park bookings
  • Restaurant tables and wine estate visits
  • Day trips to Cape Point and the Winelands

Turismo médico

Medical travel

Cape Town's private hospitals draw patients from across the continent. We handle everything around the treatment so the family can think about one thing only.

  • Introductions to hospitals and specialists
  • Appointment scheduling before you fly
  • Written cost estimates in advance
  • Interpreters at consultations
  • Accommodation near the hospital
  • Wheelchair-accessible transfers
  • Recovery stays and family accommodation

We are not a medical provider and we don't give medical advice. We arrange the travel, the logistics and the language around your care.

Turismo educacional

Educational travel

Families sending a child to school here, students starting a degree, and groups coming for a short programme. The paperwork and the settling-in are the hard part.

  • School and university visits and campus tours
  • Application and document guidance
  • Student residences and vetted homestays
  • Local guardian contact for younger students
  • Short English and holiday programmes
  • Term-time support and airport runs

Where we started

We learned this looking after visitors from Angola.

AK&DK began as a concierge and accommodation service for Angolan families coming to Cape Town.

That first market taught us the whole job, not just the booking. Someone lands after a long flight, in a city they've never seen, in a language they may not speak, sometimes with a hospital appointment in two days. What they need is a person — not a portal.

So we did all of it: the pickup, the apartment, the sim card, the driver, the interpreter, the follow-up call. Word travelled, and travellers from elsewhere in Africa and beyond started asking for the same thing.

Today we welcome guests from anywhere. The Angolan roots stay — we still work in Portuguese and English every day, and arrange interpreters for anything else.

How a visit works

Four steps, in this order, every time.

Step 01

You call or message

Tell us the dates, how many people, and why you're coming. Nothing formal — a voice note is fine.

Step 02

We plan and quote

You get a written plan and a price before you book a flight. Accommodation, transport, appointments, the lot.

Step 03

We meet the plane

Someone is at Cape Town International with your name, a car, and the keys to where you're staying.

Step 04

We stay reachable

One number for the whole trip. Change of plan, delayed appointment, a restaurant at short notice — call it.

The city itself

What we take people to see.

Cape Town sits between a flat-topped mountain and two oceans' worth of coast. Most of it is within an hour of Long Street.
